Well we all survived our road trip to Minnesota. It was fantastic having so much room in the van to pack all of Orion's things. He just needs to learn how to sleep in his new car seat. We celebrated his 6 month birthday on Saturday, we can't believe how old he is already. Kevin went to watch the Brewers/Twins game with a bunch of Twins fans on Sunday, too bad they didn't go on Saturday when the Brewers won! We also got to watch Tommy play baseball which was very exciting, Orion's first of many baseball games.

Swimming

Orion and I have signed up for a two week swim class with Jill and Hadley. Today was day 2 and Mike also came along with us so we were able to get some photos. Yesterday was a little chilly and the kids were quite cold in the water. Today was much warmer and Hadley was so brave she went under water a few times, although not always by choice. Orion sits on my lap in the water and splashes a bit. We are just hoping that by doing this so early he won't ever be afraid of the water. Hadley is always making sure that Orion is near by and loves to give him kisses!

We got to spend the entire day together today which was a treat because I have been working the past few nights. We took Orion for a walk to check to see how high the Milwaukee River is....it's flooding the park by our house. All in all we had a good time celebrating Kevin's first Father's Day. Orion is the luckiest little boy in the world to have a Daddy who loves him so much.

24 weeks

Orion is 24 weeks old today! He has begun to hold his bottle by himself now and has even begun rolling over. Of course when I tried to video tape it he wouldn't perform, but I promise he does do it. He also really loves spending time in his exersaucer, he loves seeing which of the toys on there he can get in his mouth. He continues to make us laugh every day!

Today we took Orion on his first trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. We had a great time showing him all of the animals. We have had such a great time with Auntie Mary and Lauren here and are sad that they are leaving tomorrow!

Yesterday Jill and Hadley came over and Auntie Mary and Lauren came down to visit us for a few days. We had a cookout and played outside for a while before the weather changed and started raining!

Lots of fun

This week has gone by very fast and we finally had a chance to spend some time together tonight as a family. Last night Orion tried out his walker for the first time with his Daddy and he did okay but doesn't quite know how to keep his feet under him. Tonight he tried his first graham cracker and LOVED it! He made a huge mess and hated it when Daddy was trying to clean him up. Then we went to play outside for a while. It was a wonderful night!

Kevin took these pictures tonight while I was at work because I told him that the Orion fan club was probably wanting new pictures. Ever since Auntie Geri introduced Orion to water at dinner time he has had it every night and it getting quite good at holding his sippy cup too.
