Family time

There are just a few pictures from last night. We usually lay on our bed with Orion so he can roll around and practice crawling. It is so much fun with the three of us get to be together at night!

We have had a great weekend so far. On Friday night Eddie came over to meet Orion and Orion loved snuggling with him and kept laughing at him. On Saturday Jenny and Jason came to visit and of course Orion spit up on Jenny because that is what he does when he sees her. He teased us a little bit with his trying to crawl as well. For those of you who don't know Orion crawled on Thursday afternoon for me and we have tried to get him to do it again and he just won't do it.

Lots of stuff

Orion is getting quite good at sitting up all by himself. The other night while I was at work he sat and played with this toy for 15 minutes without moving. Kevin took a so I could see our big boy! I sometimes put a pillow behind him but I don't think he needs it now.

Grandma Barb and Grandpa Pete bought Orion this outfit when they were in Vegas. Before Orion was born we referred to him as Peanut and they thought he had to have this outfit. Tonight was the first night he wore it and I told him that he had to leave the hat on so we can get a picture for his grandparents! By the third picture he was ready to get rid of the hat!

Pooh

Orion was playing with his Daddy last night and trying to figure out how he can get to Pooh. He rolled back and forth enough times that he finally could reach Pooh, it was quite cute how determined he was and that he didn't give up.

New tricks

Orion loves to be in his exersaucer now and is quite good at turning in whatever direction he wants to go in it. Except sometimes instead of turning around he just leans back to watch what he wants. This is how he was watching his movie this morning.

When I got home from work last night Kevin had this video to show me of our big boy rolling over from his back to his stomach. He is learning new tricks every day now!

Sunday fun

I didn't have to work yesterday so we spent the day trying to get a lot of projects done around the house. We managed to have some fun too though with Orion waving at Kevin and also learning to shake my hand. Orion had his first taste of mac and cheese and veggie puffs, although he didn't seem to love the mac and cheese as much as his parents do!

We went to visit Sarah, Ben and Hudson yesterday and spent the day out on the water. Orion seemed to like his very first boat ride and even fell asleep for a few minutes here and there. We enjoyed sitting by the fire last night after the boys went to bed as well as the 4 hour fireworks show that was going in their neighborhood!

We had Orion's 6 month checkup today and he is doing great. He now weighs 17 lbs and 2 oz and is 27 1/2 inches long. He survived another round of shots and now doesn't have to get those again until his 1 year checkup.
