We had Orion's 4 month checkup yesterday and are proud to say that our little boy is growing like a weed. He weighs 15.4 lbs which is in the 60th percentile for babies his age and he is 26.5 inches long which is in the 95th percentile. We also found out that what we thought was a tooth coming through really isn't a tooth, so just a lot of drooling going on and no teeth coming through yet.

Orion is 4 months old today and we cannot believe it. He is such an amazing little boy and he has truly changed our lives. We love spending time together just the three of us and watching Orion learn new things. We discovered last night that we can finally see his tooth coming through!

Miller Time

The Miller Family came to visit us today. Chloe was trying to read a book to Orion but he seemed more interested in the Brewer game on television, just like his Daddy. Chloe tested out her "big sister" skills by holding Orion and we all agree that she is going to be a great big sister when baby Miller gets here.

New food

After two weeks of vegetables we decided it was time to let Orion taste some yummy fruit. He loved his applesauce and ate all of it tonight at dinner. Here are some pictures of the process involved in feeding Orion, starting with getting him all strapped in.

Rattle time

Orion loves his new rattle and as soon as he can get his hands on it he puts it right in his mouth. Well lately he has been letting his hands go and then it sits on his face and for whatever reason he can't figure out how to grab it again and move it. It's really quite funny!

It's been a long day.....

We finally used the high chair to feed Orion tonight instead of crouching over him in his bouncy seat. He looked like such a big boy that of course I started to cry because he is growing up so fast. We went outside to blow bubbles after dinner and apparently that really tired Orion out because we was sitting in Daddy's lap and just fell asleep. This is what I am missing at night when I am at work.

New foods

We started vegetables this week and so far his favorite is squash. Kevin has perfected the technique where he holds Orion's hands down when he is feeding him because Orion likes to rub his hands on his face and then all over the chair. The other pictures are from this afternoon, he was smiling and cooing and as soon as I got the camera he stopped and gave me his serious face.

Talking

Orion was sitting here just talking up a storm and as soon as I grabbed the camera he went from talking to crying...but I got a little bit in before he decided that he didn't want to be happy anymore.

Day two

Today is day two of Mommy and Me....this is what I have been calling our new situation with me getting to stay home during the day with Orion. Yesterday he decided to take a 2 and a half hour nap, today at the very same time he napped for 30 minutes!! We went for a walk today which was wonderful because the weather is finally nice enough. Now he is napping again so I have time to eat lunch. I did manage to take a couple pictures of him this morning in his cute "Daddy's Little Wingman" shirt!

New toy

We put Orion in his ExerSaucer for the first time this weekend.....his feet can't touch the bottom yet but he sure did enjoy looking at all the toys. Our living room officially has been taken over by Orion's toys.

Go Bucks!

When we first found out I was pregnant Kevin used to say that if we had a boy he would play for the Bucks someday. Kevin would play announcer and say "starting at small forward Peanut Holmes" and then of course he would say that the crowd would chant "Peanut....Peanut" Well today I put Orion in his Bucks warm up outfit and I was chanting "Peanut" and he was looking at me like I was crazy!

Photo Shoot

Today we had Orion's first official photo shoot. It went real well, but as you can tell, by the end he was very tired of having to look so cute.
