Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was Kevin's birthday and we spent the entire day together. Tonight we went out to dinner to celebrate and we dropped Orion off by Mike and Jill. Since Orion was going to be seeing Hadley tonight he wore his cute Pooh outfit to try to impress her. It was nice to have some quality time alone with Kevin and we didn't even talk about Orion the entire time.

One month old

We can hardly believe that today Orion is one month old. He does so many things now that he didn't do when we brought him home. He is starting to hold his head up and often head butts Daddy. He also has figured out how to get his little hands into his mouth and sometimes prefers that to his pacifier. Just today he has developed a little bit of a high pitched squeal to get our attention. He is just amazing and we are so in love with him.

Weekend fun

Due to snow and illness we didn't have all the visitors we were supposed to this weekend, hopefully everyone can make it here soon though. Janae and Peter came to visit today and we wanted Peter to stay forever because he actually calmed Orion down and put him to sleep. Since Friday night Orion has been a little fussy and was up every 1 to 2 hours last night to eat, we think he is going through a growth spurt. He also was holding his own bottle last night when Kevin feed him! The picture of Orion and me is funny because I was singing a New Kids on the Block song and showing him a video (thanks Nicki) and he just looked at me like I was crazy. He gave the same look to Kevin later in the day. Then he fell asleep on Kevin's shoulder and punched him in the face and just kept his little hand there while he slept. We are about to give Orion a bath and he absolutely hates the bath, then hopefully he will eat and go to sleep for a while but who knows for sure because it's Orion's world and we just live in it!

More friends

My friend Sherry came over tonight after work to visit with Orion. He was pretty good until he decided he needed to eat dinner! Then we had a little play time with his new friend Winnie the Pooh.

Wednesday fun

Today Orion had his first lunch date with my friend Cherie and she gave him his very first Pooh Bear. I was a little nervous because I didn't know if he would stay sleeping at the restaurant but he did a great job and didn't make a peep. Of course right as we were going to leave the house he spit up all over his outfit so I had to change him and was about 5 minutes late for lunch. Before we left I took a bunch of pictures of him making his cute little faces. I couldn't get one of him doing his half smile though because he is way too fast for me, hopefully soon.

Snowy Monday

Orion and I stayed in the house today because of all the snow. He spent most of they day in my arms because every time I put him down he would cry because he missed Mommy. Today was the first day he wore his Got Moose shirt, although it's still a little big. I had to take a picture for Lizz and Jon because they sent him the shirt and he looks so darn cute in it. The other picture is of Orion just laying on Daddy's lap tonight watching television.

For Pete's Sake

We played a little joke on Uncle Pete and didn't put his picture up on the last posting. Here is Orion with his Uncle Pete getting ready to fight. I also put a couple of me and Pete from Las Vegas last year just because two pictures was not enough!

Fight night

Last night we went to Uncle Pete and Auntie Dawn's house for boxing. Orion had the chance to meet some new friends and he didn't really care who won the fight. Auntie Dawn, Vanessa, Mommy and Daddy all took turns holding him because he didn't want to lay down.

Orion meets Hadley

Orion got to finally meet Hadley today and he was very excited! Jill, Mike and Hadley came over to visit and Hadley kept saying "baby" and wanted to touch Orion. It was so cute and of course we had the cameras going.

3 weeks old

It's amazing to think that 3 weeks ago tonight we were in the hospital having Orion. He has changed so much in the past 3 weeks. We are starting to figure out what he likes and doesn't like and have somewhat of a sleeping schedule. He had many firsts this week too. He had tummy time yesterday and he also had a visit today from my friend Erin. Tonight was the first time we tried a bottle and he chugged it like Daddy chugs beer. Although I am glad he had no problems with his first bottle it made me a little sad that Kevin can feed him now and he doesn't need just me. Two weeks ago I couldn't imagine saying that because feeding wasn't going the best, but now that it is I like our time together. Our little guy is growing up so fast!

Day 1 without Daddy

We survived day 1 with Kevin being back at work. It was hard to be home without him because we have had such good times since coming home from the hospital. Orion and I even had our first adventure out of the house without Kevin and he only screamed a little bit. He loves sleeping in his bouncy seat and even though his baby acne is in full force we still think he is the cutest little guy ever!

Busy life

On Monday Orion had a visit from Grandma and also from Jen and Jason. Today we went to his daycare so the teachers could meet him, of course they said he was so cute. We are sad today because Kevin has to go back to work tomorrow, we are sure going to miss him!
