We had the Holmes family over today for a cookout so that Kevin could finally try out the deep fryer that he got almost 3 years ago for Christmas. We had a wonderful turkey after the oil finally got hot enough to cook. Auntie April and Danielle weren't feeling well so they couldn't make it out, we missed them! We even had Jill and Hadley stop over and Hadley impressed everyone with her extensive vocabulary. Orion was quite tired tonight because he was outside all day long and got quite a lot of attention from the entire family, especially Auntie Dawn. We had a great time and are looking forward to the 2nd annual cookout next summer!

8 months old

We cannot believe that it's been 8 months since Orion was born. It's amazing to think that he used to just lay there so peacefully and now he is ALL over the place. We had a play date this morning with Uncle Mike and Hadley and it was lots of fun. I bought this Mickey Mouse lawn chair today because Orion just had to have it! We couldn't figure out how to keep Mickey's ears up on the back of the chair until after we were done taking pictures though.

Last night Daddy saw Orion crawl a little bit and today he did it for me too. I was lucky to get it on camera so everyone else can see it too.

Fun with Orion

Orion has a lot of toys and lately it seems like his favorite thing to play with is a yellow strap that is on the back of his mirror. He somehow got the strap off the other day and just loves to eat it and swing it around. He has also gotten under his exersaucer and has used it to try to pull himself up. You can't turn around for a minute because he will not be in the same place that you set him down!

Getting Daddy

Last night we were all home and playing on the floor when Orion decided it was time to wrestle Daddy. He was going after Kevin's face and trying to pull his beard. He had a big smile on his face the entire time he was getting Daddy. I love watching the two of them play together.

First boo boo

So last night Orion was practicing crawling, where he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth teasing Mommy and Daddy. He went head first into one of his plastic toys and now has a little bruise on his left cheek. You can barely see it in the pictures but I just had to get some up of his first bruise. I dressed him in his Twins outfit today because I think he really misses the Jensen's and is bored with just me all day long!

We all met at my Dad's house this weekend for a surprise family camping for Auntie Geri's 50th birthday. We were so excited to finally have Orion back with us and he seemed to be happy to have his Mommy and Daddy back too.
