And it's a...

boy!!! We named him Orion Anthony Holmes and he weights 8 lbs. 6 oz. and is 21 1/2" long. Mom and Orion are doing great! Dad, well that's another story. More pics to come.

5 more days???

When we first heard we were due on Christmas Day it seemed so far away, now it's only 5 days away! We keep telling the baby everyday to just hurry up and get here, we really want to meet this little one. I guess we are getting our first lesson in patience! I leave work every night and tell everyone that I hope I don't see them the next day....and of course I am right back there the next morning. It's getting quite uncomfortable to sit at my desk all day long and I can hardly concentrate on what I am doing because all I can think about is this baby.

Someone recently told me that I don't look like I am 9 months pregnant and she became my favorite person in the world....then in the same conversation she also told me that I needed to adjust my attitude because I was crabby......not my favorite person anymore. I just told her I would remember those words for someday in the future when she is 9 months pregnant!!!

2 weeks to go!

Here is the last belly picture, I am looking forward to being able to put pictures of the baby on here and not my belly anymore! We have the baby's room almost all done, and even have a bag packed ready to go. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and was told that the head is now down but there is really nothing else happening and the doctor was almost sure he would see me at my next appointment on the 17th. We of course would like to have the baby before that but since we have no control over that we are not getting our hopes up. We are hoping that the baby doesn't decide to come on one of these winter wonderland days that we have been having.

4 weeks to go!

Here we are, 4 weeks until our due date and Christmas of course. We have only bought 1 Christmas gift so far, usually we are the people shopping the week before but I don't think that will work this year. This past weekend was filled with lots of family bonding time! We had cookie baking on Friday at my Aunt Cathy's house, which was wonderful because I didn't have to do anything and still got to take some cookies home! We also had our 3rd baby shower at Mark and Tiffany's house, it was a blast and very overwhelming to have so many people there who love us and this baby!

6 weeks to go!

Today hits the 6 week mark, and my belly is quite large! Kevin did a great job with putting together the crib this past weekend and of course I did a great job at crying when I saw it put together! We played a little Bob Marley for the baby last night and the favorite song turned out to be "Jamming". I haven't had a chance to play country for the baby yet, have to do that when Daddy isn't around.

Second Baby Shower

Pete and Barb threw us a baby shower last weekend at Kevin's Grandma's house. Lots of friends and family were there to help us celebrate this little one coming. It was a lot of fun and now this baby is even more spoiled with all the things we got for him/her. Here are just a few pictures to share from such a great day.

8 weeks to go

I know that the picture is a little late in getting posted, it was a busy week. The top picture was taken today and the other picture was taken last Wednesday. A few people have been asking about what the baby's room looks like so we thought we should share a few of those pictures too. Of course we still need a few things and everything is pretty much just thrown in there right now but at least you can see a little of what we are working with. We talk daily about how it's getting so close now and we are very excited. We have our last baby class this coming Tuesday and then I guess we are certified to be parents???

Last weekend the Greenfield Hawks took on the New Berlin West Vikings in what can only be described as a battle for the ages. The Hawks lead most of the way, but with the score 14-7 late in the fourth quarter and the Vikings driving, #78 Trevor Holmes came up big for the Hawks recording a sack and finishing off the Vikings for good. Way to go Trev! Go Hawks!

10 weeks left!

Well we only have 10 weeks left until our due date, I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. We had our 3rd baby class last night and we got a tour of the brand new baby center. It was pretty amazing to see the rooms and all the latest technology that is going to help us have the baby. I had a doctor's appointment this week too, for those that are keeping track I have gained another 5 lbs. I guess it's not bad to have only gained 16 lbs total with 10 weeks left. We have been trying to find some baby names that we can both agree on, if anyone has any suggestions please send them our way!

Rainy Sunday

Last Sunday we went to watch our nephew Kyle play soccer. His team won, they are undefeated this year. I got tired just watching the kids run up and down the field!

First Baby Shower

Kristina, Lisa and Sherry threw me a shower with all my friends from work. It was a great time and there were even a few surprise guests that I used to work with. Kevin and I spent Sunday writing out thank you cards and washing all the new blankets and outfits for baby.

3 in 1

October 2nd was a 3 in 1 day for us. First off we hit the 28 week mark which is exciting because it's the beginning of the 3rd trimester and that means baby will be here soon. I am getting bigger as you can see by the picture. Second we had our first baby class last night which scared the heck out of me! Third we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! I cannot believe how quickly time has gone by and all that has happened in the past 3 years. I often wish I could relive our wedding day because it was the best day of my life and it was wonderful to be surrounded by all the people in our lives who love us!

Family Time

I went to visit my sister this past weekend and had a great time! I realized that life with 3 kids is quite busy and I am not sure how we are going to survive just having this one.

26 weeks!

So today is 26 weeks, and we both are very excited as well as very scared that it is getting so close. I had an appointment yesterday and everything looks great and I have only gained 11 pounds total! The baby is kicking all the time now too and it even kept me up for a while the other night.

Football Season

I was able to celebrate my nephew's 10th birthday on Saturday with watching him play football and having birthday cake! I think that someday Kevin might be drafting Tarek in his fantasy football league if he continues to be such a good player.

The belly at 24 weeks

Well here I am, only 16 weeks left. That means you only have 16 weeks until Christmas too! After Kevin took this picture I freaked out a little because I don't think I look this big!! Last night Kevin got to feel the baby kick for the first time, it was awesome and I am so excited that he can finally feel what I do. Kevin is going to paint the baby's room this weekend and I am going home to visit my Dad and watch my nephew Tarek play football. Stay tuned for more pictures after the weekend.

Finally

To everyone that has been asking, I finally sat down and started the blog! I am almost 24 weeks along, we had our first ultrasound last week and everything looks great. The baby weighs about 1.5 pounds already and during the ultrasound we saw him/her moving around and waving at us. To those of you who haven't seen them yet, enjoy the pictures of our little one!
