New pictures...finally

Since Auntie Mary told me on the phone tonight that I needed to post some new pictures we had a little fun with Orion's hair in the bath tub!






Orion is getting really good at feeding himself and often prefers to do that instead of having us feed him with the spoon. Yesterday for lunch he was eating pieces of cooked carrots and almost every time he would put some in his mouth he would run his hands in his hair making it stand straight up. Carrot hair gel just might be the new thing. The video is from a couple nights ago, it's just amazing to watch him grab the food as soon as Kevin puts it down in front of him. I guess he loves eating as much as his Mommy does.

Playtime

One of Orion's favorite games to play is Horsey with Daddy. Kevin has been doing this with Orion for a while now and every time he stops moving his leg Orion will kick his legs as if to say "giddy up". He also is quite vocal while riding his horsey. Tonight while I was at work Kevin brought up another new toy for Orion, Auntie Mary bought this for us last summer when we were first pregnant and he is finally old enough now to have fun with it. He played for at least 45 minutes tonight just figuring out with everything does, he really liked the rooster.

My first tree stand

When Orion was born Grandpa Bob bought him his first pair of camo overhauls and he is finally big enough to wear them. I tried to get a good picture of what they say but Orion moves so fast these days it's hard to get him to sit still. There is a picture of a baby in a high chair and it says "My first tree stand" which is quite cute. He is now crawling all over and trying to pull himself up on anything that the can, the bookshelf was what he was trying to use this morning.

Go Brewers

Kevin, Grandma and I took Orion to his first Brewers game today! He was such a good boy the entire day and even got his first baseball. Corey Hart threw a baseball into the stands and it landed by the usher and he looked at the crowd and everyone in front of us was yelling for the ball and he said "no it goes to the little guy up here" and he walked up by us and handed Orion the baseball. It was really awesome.

So big!

Kevin taught Orion "so big" and sometimes he will do it and sometimes he only half does it. Of course every time we ask him how big is Orion and we don't have the camera in hand that is when he actually does it!

We had the Holmes family over today for a cookout so that Kevin could finally try out the deep fryer that he got almost 3 years ago for Christmas. We had a wonderful turkey after the oil finally got hot enough to cook. Auntie April and Danielle weren't feeling well so they couldn't make it out, we missed them! We even had Jill and Hadley stop over and Hadley impressed everyone with her extensive vocabulary. Orion was quite tired tonight because he was outside all day long and got quite a lot of attention from the entire family, especially Auntie Dawn. We had a great time and are looking forward to the 2nd annual cookout next summer!

8 months old

We cannot believe that it's been 8 months since Orion was born. It's amazing to think that he used to just lay there so peacefully and now he is ALL over the place. We had a play date this morning with Uncle Mike and Hadley and it was lots of fun. I bought this Mickey Mouse lawn chair today because Orion just had to have it! We couldn't figure out how to keep Mickey's ears up on the back of the chair until after we were done taking pictures though.
