A Day Out With Thomas

Kevin and I took Orion to a Day Out with Thomas yesterday in Green Bay. We didn't tell him where we were going, just hopped in the van and drove. Words cannot describe the excitement when we walked around the corner and Orion saw Thomas the Train. It was so awesome and we had the best time being there and spending the day with just Orion. Thank you Grandma Barb for watching Xavier all day for us!

Orion started a class tonight called Sporties for Shorties, cute right? It was so much fun watching him run around with all the other kids and listen to the three teachers. We cannot wait for the next class on Thursday!

9 months old

We had Xavier's 9 month check up today and boy did we get a surprise. We have been wondering what he was going to weigh since he seems like he weighs 30 lbs when you carry him around all day! He weighed 20 lbs and 5.6 oz at his 6 month appointment and today he weighed in at 20 lbs and 14 oz. Yep that's right.....he is now in the 50th percentile or as the doctor put it "average" for weight instead of topping the charts in the 90th percentile like he was for the 6 month appointment. He did gain two full inches in length in the past 3 months though, he is now 2 feet 6 inches long which is still the 90th percentile. The doctor said that he looks perfect and is on track for everything that he should be doing at his age so we can't ask for anything more.
