Sunday

Grandma Barb came out today to visit and brought us a yummy lunch! Orion showed Grandma a few of his new tricks and how much he loves to read books now. The video was tonight and I had Orion giggling with his Cookie Monster and once Daddy got the camera he just stared at the camera and wasn't giggling like before. That kid for sure knows what the camera is all about!

9 months old

We had Orion's 9 month check up yesterday and the doctor said that he is doing everything that he is supposed to be doing at this age. The only thing we have to work on is feeding him more bottles because what we have been feeding him isn't enough. So we now are cutting back on the amount of food he gets and focusing on more bottles. Orion is 29 inches long with is about the 75th percentile and is 18 lbs and 5 oz, which is only the 15th percentile. The doctor told me that the percentiles are created by overweight America so we shouldn't worry about that.

We love to play "I get you" with Orion where one of us holds him and the other one goes "I get you" and he starts to kick and laugh because he knows what is going to happen. We caught it on tape tonight and of course Orion knew that the camera was on so he stared at the camera for part of the game. We have so much fun with him!

Weekend in Minnesota

We went to visit The Jensen Family this weekend and we all had so much fun. We have a few things to report as well. On Saturday while Kevin and I were watching Tommy catch his first touchdown pass...which was awesome.....Auntie Mary was at home with Orion and felt his first tooth! That's right Orion finally has a tooth that poked through. We think we may even feel two of them poking through although he doesn't let us feel in there for very long. Orion ate his first french fries at BW3's on Saturday and LOVED them. He got the kid's meal of mac and cheese and french fries and ate almost the entire meal! His vocabulary has expanded to three words....Dada, Mama and JJ! We were at Jerod's soccer game on Saturday and he kept hearing everyone yelling "come on JJ" and he then said JJ! He said it today on the way home too. Here is a little video of the fun on the trampoline!!!

Delaney Grace

Orion and I went to visit our newest cousin today, Delaney Grace. She was born last Sunday and is absolutely perfect! I look lots of pictures for all the family that has yet to meet her. While I was holding her I kept thinking that it wasn't that long ago that Orion was a tiny little one... as he was crawling all over the place and trying to torture the cat. This first video is Orion dancing with Andy which was quite cute. The second two videos are short but Delaney didn't want to perform on command. She was doing the cutest thing, she was sucking on her tongue and of course when I got the video on she stopped and as soon as I turned it off she started again. Oh well, you can still she her video debut!

We got out this table for Orion on Sunday and he loved standing up and playing with it.

Orion has been trying to crawl through the bottom of our coffee table for a few days now. Today he got both feet off the ground and then couldn't move any further. Although he was crying I had to get the camera because seeing those little feet off the ground is pretty funny!

The next milestone

Orion has reached the next milestone in his little life, he can now pull himself up to a standing position whenever he wants to. He has been trying to do this for a while now and just hasn't been able to get it. We can't believe that he can do this already! The last two pictures are from yesterday when he was playing, I put his ball in the compartment of his scooter and I thought he would drop the remote in his left hand to get it but he didn't. He managed to have a toy in each hand and the favorite strap in his mouth all at the same time.

Orion sneezed this morning and when I said "Bless you" to him he started cracking up. So of course I ran for the camera and he continued to laugh. The strangest things set him off!
